Google Drive Integration

Docu Ninja integrates with Google Drive, allowing you to import documents directly from your Google Drive account.

Importing a file from Google Drive

  1. Open a document in Draft status.
  2. Click Import from Google Drive.
  3. If prompted, authenticate with your Google account and grant access.
  4. Browse your Google Drive or search for the file you want to import.
  5. Select the file and confirm.
  6. The file is downloaded from Google Drive and converted to PDF if necessary.

Supported file types

You can import any file type supported by Google Drive, including:

  • Google Docs — converted to PDF
  • PDF files — imported as-is
  • Microsoft Word documents (.docx) — converted to PDF
  • Images (PNG, JPG, etc.) — converted to PDF

Authentication

The Google Drive integration uses OAuth 2.0:

  • You authenticate with your Google account when first using the feature.
  • Docu Ninja requests read-only access to your Google Drive files.
  • You can revoke access at any time through your Google account settings.
info

Docu Ninja only accesses files you explicitly select during import. It does not scan or index your Google Drive.

Troubleshooting

Can't connect to Google Drive

  • Make sure you're signed in with the correct Google account.
  • Check that third-party app access is enabled in your Google account settings.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration.

File import fails

  • Ensure the file is not too large.
  • For Google Docs, make sure the document doesn't contain unsupported formatting.
  • Try exporting the file to PDF from Google Drive first and uploading it directly.
